Nan is a fairly typical provincial city with a vast, interesting history, some impressive temples and a very good museum.

Welcome to Homestay Baan Bo Suak, the friendliness village. the small rural village located in Muang district, Nan Province. Staying in the village homestay, you can indulge in learning about local culture not just by being with the villagers, but also by seeing how locals live in a sustainable way.

Did you know what about the meaning of BO SUAK? In Thai Lanna Language BO is mean NOT and SUAK is mean FIERCENESS. That is why we can say BAAN BO SUAK is the Friendliness Village. 

 

 Activities and Experiences:

DAY1: Nan Arrival

Upon arrival to Nan bus terminal/airport (arrival time # to be advised), your local guide will pick you up and lead you to do sightseeing at the famous temples in Nan province especially Phumin temple where is a unique design makes this temple become the most interesting temple in Nan. In the temple, you will be stunned by the impressive wall painting in stories of Nan people since 400 years ago.  

Lunch at local restaurant.

In late afternoon, you will be lead to Baan Bo Suak village, for check-in to your homestay, take a leisure time before your dinner.

Dinner with local family.

Overnight at Homestay Baan Bo Suak.

 

DAY2: Friendly Village Homestay

Breakfast at homestay.

Start exploring at ancient kiln site and antique wooden house museum, as this place was one of the significant glazed ceramics production sites in Lanna and near the kiln site located the museum where they exhibit daily activities of the local people in past. It is also a source of knowledge on beliefs about the houses, architectures, tools and equipment necessary to daily basis. Then you will have a chance to learn how to make the pottery by clay (workshop), you will also get your own master piece pottery back as souvenir.

Lunch at homestay.

In the afternoon activities will be set at weaver’s house is where you can learn about how to do handcraft textiles. Here you can see all the processes from cotton to be textiles. There are many unique textile patterns from the villagers which you can take a look and buy as souvenir as well. 

Dinner with local family.

DAY3: Nan Departure

Breakfast at homestay.

Late in the morning, check-out and say goodbye to your home host and you will be lead to bus terminal/airport in Nan.

 

NOTE: All activities could be changed and flexible depend on the weather and village’s situation without notice prior to arrival date.

This program will support Baan Bo Suak community in NAN province to develop community homestay to become standard homestay in Thailand.

  • Transportation: roundtrip local vehicle for pick up and drop off from Nan airport/bus terminal to village.

  • Accommodation: 2 nights stay at Homestay Baan Bo Suak.

  • Local English speaking guide.

  • Meal plan as mentioned in the program (B/L/D).

  • Entrance fee and activities as mentioned in the program.

  • All taxes and service charge.

  • Any meals, transfers or tours that are not mentioned in the itinerary.
