The Happiness Village Homestay is located in a small rural village in the Sukhothai Province.
Staying in a homestay like this one, will give you the opportunity to learn about the local culture in a unique way. Your host family will show you the typical
daily life of a villager.🍀SOCIAL IMPACT:
This program will be part of generating a community development fund to ensure that every travelers' spending goes to support local people and reducing rural-urban migration.
🍀ITINERARY:
- DAY1: Sukhothai Arrival (-/L/D)
Upon arrival to Sukhothai bus terminal/airport (arrival time to be advised), your local guide will pick you up and lead you to the village where you will check in to your homestay.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon you will go on a bicycle ride where you will start to discover our happiness village at Baan Na Ton Chan. You will ride past local houses, rice paddy fields and the fruit orchards.
Dinner to be served with a local family.
Overnight: Simple and comfortable homestay, bedding and mosquito net are provided.- DAY2: Happiness Village Homestay (B/L/D)
Start the day with alms offering. Your local hosts will prepare the food for you to offer to the monks. Then you will have a chance to join your hosts to cook local dishes for breakfast.
Afterwards go on a village walk to see the main activities of the village. You will be able to visit some of the local houses to see and learn how to weave and make wooden toys.
For lunch enjoy "Kao Perb" or steam rice noodle, which is a famous local dish for this village.
In the afternoon you will learn about mud-soaked textile, which is the main local product of Ban Na Ton Chan. This product is a hand-woven textile used for clothing. The method of how to work with this fibre has been passed down from generation to generation by the textile weavers in the village.
Dinner will be served with a local family.

Breakfast served at your homestay.
There will be a late morning check out where you will say goodbye to your hosts and then you will be taken to the bus terminal or airport in Sukhothai.

- Appx 1 hour flight, 3 flights a day from Bangkok (BKK) to Sukhothai (THS) by Bangkok Airways
- Overnight train from Bangkok Railway Station to Phitsanulok by State Railway of Thailand, then another 1 hour drive to Sukhothai
